Kannur Shareef (born on 16 January 1972) is  is best known for Mappilapattu (Mappila songs), a traditional Muslim folk genre widely popular in the Malabar region of Kerala. He has also performed ghazals, devotional songs (bhajans), and has training in classical/light music.His singing career around 1994, primarily with Mappila albums. He has sung thousands of album songs over the years.
